The Cincinnati Branch NAACP 50TH Annual Freedom Fund Dinner

Friday, October 14, 2005, is the Annual NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner in Cincinnati. They said on the invitation, "After 50 years.... STILL CELEBRATING OUR VICTORIES". When I heard this I thought to myself, what victories? Because over the last 12 years of my life I haven't heard of these such victories they speak of. Really things seem to get worse, so what accomplishments have they acheived, because if there is still massive amounts of racism and discrimination in Cincinnati... somebody is not doing their job. Also , while they are wining and dining, another person in Cincinnati (particuarly african-americans and other ethnicites) is being cast out for the race or ethnical background. But as long as the wonderful chair members on the NAACP of Cincinnati are having a great dinner and no one is casting them out, everything is peachy. So what I wonder is , why do the voting citzens of Cincinnati continue to vote the non- caring , selfish and, procrastinators, to run Cincinnati?

Hurricane Katrina

As you may know hurricane Katrina has just passed through Alabama, Louisiana. I was very disturbed by all the images that have been shown and thinking that wow they are really going through that actual stuff. But what makes me really upset is the fact that people in other places of the and country are comparing themselves to those who r suffering from that hurricane and other things and when I hea others comparing like "oh i would have done this and oh, I would have done that". That makes me upset because they cant compare themselves to those people you dont know what its like but they think they can guess thats why i'm not going to sit here and say "well i would have done this or I would have done that"but I will say everyone needs some help sumtime so if you have a helping hand to give, remember it's not what you would do if you were them but it's the fact that they are in trouble and they need your help,NOW...
